Following a Committee Meeting on Monday 12th August, 2024, Codes of Conduct, General Codes of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures were created as an interim measure whilst Club Rules are updated. These addendums can be read further down this page.

DROITWICH SPA ANGLING SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP FORM
Club Rules
GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT:
Members of Droitwich Spa Angling Club are expected to:
1. Respect other DSAC Members and treat them with consideration;
2. Never behave in any way which could bring the DSAC into disrepute;
3. Protect the fishing environment; take all litter home
and ensure that used hooks and line waste are contained
and disposed of;
4. Be really careful not to harm fish during handling;
5. Adhere to DSAC Club, Contest Fishing and use of WhatsApp
and social media rules.
6. Be courteous to other waterway users - boaters, boarders,
cyclists, walkers etc.
7. Observe DSAC Risk Management Advice.
SOCIAL MEDIA CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. It should be recognised that the content of the DSAC
Website, WhatsApp groups, email exchanges and other
social media platforms, represent the digital persona
of our club.
2. It is every members responsibility to represent the club
in the most positive light when posting online. The internet
is an Open Source accessible by all, so we MUST take care
with things we post.
3. Recognised DSAC platforms, WhatsApp and our website
should be used predominantly for discussing fishing
matters.
4. Never post in a way that might offend. Offensive subjects
include extreme political views, sexist content, homophobic
content, racist content and negative religious content.
This list is not exhaustive.
5. Members deemed to have transgressed any element of
the Social Media code of conduct may be liable to sanction
by the committee.
DISCIPLINARY CODE
1. Any Member viewed to be in serious breach of the General
Code of Conduct or Social Media Code of Conduct will have
their situation reviewed by the Committee.
2. The Committee reserves the power to sanction offending
members. Sanctions may range from insisting on an
apology, requesting cease and desist, to exclusion from
the club in rare and extreme cases.
3. A decision made by Committee Majority, supported by the
Chairperson and President is final.
